Tuesday, October 10 (Catalina)

We are thrilled to host you for a tour of historic Santa Catalina Island! We will depart from the Long Beach marina for a short 1 hour boat ride to the island where we will have lunch at the famous PaddleBar restaurant.

Following lunch, we will depart for a (optional) glass-bottomed boat ride to view the marine life that calls the California coastline home.

Those choosing not to join the boat trip will have the afternoon to explore the island.

After arriving back in Long Beach, we will enjoy a private dinner on the Queen Mary, which is located in the Long Beach harbor. All travel to and from locations will be provided.

Wednesday, October 11 (Meeting)

CBRT member UPS will graciously be hosting us upon the USS Iowa, which is now a museum docked right in the Long Beach harbor. We will enjoy panel discussions focused on the goods movement sector in California, its future, and its impact on federal and state policies and activity in other states.

Lunch will be onboard the Iowa, which will give us the opportunity to discuss important issues in each of our states, highlight current and upcoming activities, and share best-practices with our colleagues. For those interested, we will end lunch with a brief tour of the Battleship Iowa.

Following a second set of panel discussions, we will end the day with a tour of the ports, to better understand the investments in technologies that are bringing new efficiencies to the ports and see how products move from ship to shore to stores.
