SACRAMENTO—The diverse and broad-based California business community has issued the following statement today in response to the newly announced partnership between the State of California and NVIDIA to help prepare the existing and future workforce for significant changes to the economy brought about by Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology:
“Today’s Executive Order is an important step forward in ensuring today’s students are prepared for tomorrow’s jobs. Governor Newsom’s actions will help students have the tools necessary to compete for well-paying jobs in the future and are an important investment in ensuring California businesses continue to be able to hire California students who are well-trained and prepared for the workforce. We join with leaders in the education community in welcoming this new partnership and look forward to continuing to emphasize the need for workforce development initiatives that will keep California a powerhouse of innovation that ensures all students have the tools and opportunities to compete.”
