News & Updates - The California Business Roundtable Announces Election of Dennis Arriola, President & CEO of SoCalGas, as Chairman
Sacramento — The California Business Roundtable (CBRT) today announced the election of Dennis Arriola as Chairman and Brett Bittel as Vice Chairman for 2015.
Dennis Arriola currently serves as the President and CEO of SoCalGas, a Sempra Energy company and the nation’s largest natural gas distribution company. Headquartered in Los Angeles SoCalGas serves nearly 21 million consumers and has over 8,000 employees.
“I am honored by the board’s support, and also grateful for the outstanding leadership of my predecessor, Tom Conley,” said Dennis Arriola, newly elected Chairman of the California Business Roundtable. “We are going to continue our focus on providing solutions that will help grow strong middle class jobs in California and strengthen our economy.”
The Board of Directors also elected Brett Bittel as Vice Chairman. Brett currently serves as the Vice President and General Manager for Enterprise Holdings’ Southern California Operation where he is responsible for a rental fleet of over 100,000 cars and 4,500 employees.
“Chairman Arriola and Vice Chairman Bittel represent major industry sectors that are at the heart of California’s economy. Their leadership is critically important as we engage on the major issues of energy and infrastructure in the year ahead,” said Rob Lapsley, president of the California Business Roundtable.
