California Business Roundtable President Rob Lapsley today released the following statement in response to Governor Brown’s tax reform proposal:

 “Governor Brown has been reaching out to the business community to discuss his tax initiative proposal and the members of the California Business Roundtable are prepared to continue the dialogue on the major budget issues for next year. However, with California’s unemployment the second highest in the nation, the Legislature must act now to pass the reforms we desperately need to strengthen California’s economy by eliminating the significant barriers to meaningful job growth.”
